Lee Overtree is the co-founder and Creative Director of the Story Pirates and is Executive Producer and Co-Host of the Story Pirates Podcast. With over 85 million downloads and multiple iHeartRadio, Webby and Signal awards, the Story Pirates Podcast is one of the top shows for kids and families in the world. With Story Pirates, Lee has co-created and overseen Game On, a family sports podcast for Audible (co-production with Steph Curry’s Unanimous), The Cat in the Hat Cast podcast for Wondery and Bugs and Daffy’s Thanksgiving Road Trip podcast for Warner Brothers Animation. Lee received Drama Desk and Ovation nominations for the book of his musical Found (co-written with Hunter Bell) at the Atlantic Theater Company and has directed at the Williamstown Theater Festival, Center Theater Group, the Philadelphia Theatre Company, New York Stage & Film, The American Music Theater Project, Goodspeed Musicals, the Kennedy Center, the Geffen Playhouse, Berkshire Theater Group, the Mystic Aquarium, the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. He has taught at the Atlantic Acting School and the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O'Neill Center. Lee is an alumnus of Northwestern University and a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers union.
